18+ only. Our core audience is Gen Z (18-28), but anyone 18+ is welcome. We need ID verification for safety, which requires 18+.

We have multiple safety layers: 1) Government ID verification with photo ID scan + selfie match. 3) Automated AI flagging for harassment, sexual content, hate speech. 3) Human review . 4) Permanent bans with no appeals. No app is 100% safe, but we take this more seriously than any competitor.

Harassment, sexual content, hate speech, catfishing, or scams = immediate permanent ban. Scams also get reported to police. Minor issues like spam get a warning first, then ban if repeated. No appeals—our policy is clear: violate once, you're out forever.

Yes, verification is required. It's safe because: we use bank-grade encryption, your ID is verified then securely stored, we never share your ID publicly—only a "Verified ✓" badge, and you control what info appears on your profile. Your government ID number, full address, etc. are NOT shown to other users.

To report: tap "Report" in the chat, select reason (harassment, inappropriate photos, catfishing, scams, etc.), add optional screenshot/description, and submit. What happens: auto-check for severity, human review within 24h. If serious: permanent ban + device/phone blacklisted. If minor: warning + temporary chat ban. You'll be notified when the person is banned.

We analyze: Interests (gaming, books, anime, coding, sports, etc.), Social Energy (introvert/ambivert/extrovert), Personality (humor style, vibe, values), Activity Preference (quiet hangouts vs. events), and Location (city/region preference). You get matched with people 85%+ compatible. Not random, not just "nearby."

Before you chat: pass and get a new match instantly. During chat: block them (they can't see you again) or report them if they violate rules. After 24h expiration: if you don't extend, it auto-expires. No awkwardness.

Only if BOTH of you extend it. At the 24h mark: you'll see "Alex wants to extend? You have 1 hour to decide." You tap "Extend" → Both get another 24h. If one person doesn't extend → Chat disappears. You can only extend once. After that, you decide: "Keep Forever" (permanent chat) or end it.

Extend = give it another 24 hours. Keep Forever = make it a permanent friend chat (unlimited). Flow: Chat 1st day → "Extend" if you want more time. Chat 2nd day → "Extend" again (optional). Whenever you're sure → "Keep Forever" = permanent friends.

It activates after you exchange 2-3 messages (lets conversation start naturally) or when chat goes quiet for 3+ minutes. It suggests fun prompts based on your shared interests like "You both game—what's your go-to?" or "This or That: Mountains or beaches?" You can tap to send, edit, or ignore. It never interrupts active conversation—only helps when things stall.

Yes. In-chat: toggle "AI: ON/OFF" at the bottom. In settings: disable AI prompts globally (affects all future chats). Privacy note: The AI sees your messages to generate prompts, but we don't train models on your data.

Yes, all free! Available games: Trivia Duel (compete on points), Word Wars (build words faster), Drawing Battles (draw and guess), This or That (debate preferences), Speed Rounds (60-second Q&A). Tap "Games" in chat, select game, both start playing. Premium users get exclusive game modes coming in 2025, but core games are free forever.

Yes! Vibem8 is completely free to use. You get unlimited matching, all chat features, AI icebreaker, mini games, and IRL event browsing. We have no plans to monetize yet—our focus is on building the best experience for making real connections.

Find Your Crew lets you post or join spontaneous hangouts. Need a running buddy tonight? Looking for one more for board game night? Post it, find your people, and make it happen—no advance planning required. Unlike IRL Events (which are organized by Vibem8), these are user-created meetups that usually happen same-day or next-day.

Anything casual and friendly! Popular activities include: Running/jogging, Board games, Coffee catch-ups, Food runs, Study sessions, Movie nights, Gym workouts, Walking/hiking. You can also create custom activities. Just keep it SFW and appropriate—no parties, clubbing, or anything that violates our community guidelines.

Tap the "+" button in the Meetups tab, choose your activity type, add details (location, time, how many people you need), and post it. Your meetup will be visible to nearby verified users who match your vibe. People can tap "I'm In!" to join. You'll get notified when someone's interested.

Yes—same safety standards as all of Vibem8. Only ID-verified users can post or join meetups. You can see profiles of everyone interested before confirming. We recommend meeting in public places for first meetups. You can report users before, during, or after a meetup. Our one-strike permanent ban policy applies here too.

Find Your Crew: User-created, spontaneous, usually same-day, small groups (2-5 people), free to organize. IRL Events: Organized by Vibem8, planned in advance, larger groups (10-50+), sometimes paid (covers venue/food). Think of Find Your Crew as "grab coffee today" vs IRL Events as "speed friending night next Saturday."

Yes, but be considerate! If people have already confirmed, they'll be notified of the cancellation. Frequent last-minute cancellations may affect your reliability score (visible to others). We understand things come up—just try to give as much notice as possible.

Absolutely not. We don't sell user data to anyone. What we do: use anonymized data to improve matching, share with Stripe for billing only, comply with legal requests. What we don't: sell to advertisers ❌, share with data brokers ❌, train AI on your chats without permission ❌.

Visible to: people matched with you, Vibem8 team (for safety/moderation). Not visible: public/searchable, tied to your real name, visible to non-users. You control what info appears (can hide age, interests, etc.).

Yes. Go to Settings → Delete Account → Confirm. Account deleted within 24h. All chats/matches wiped (kept 90 days for safety, then deleted). Can't recover after deletion. Start fresh with new sign-up if needed.

You give us: name, age, pronouns, bio, profile photos, interests/hobbies, personality questions, government ID (for verification only), phone number (for 2FA). We don't collect: location data (optional, you control it), browsing history, payment info beyond Stripe. We comply with PDPA (Singapore) and GDPR (EU). You can request deletion anytime.
